What Our Clients Say

I know when I visit EVP, no matter who I see, they will look after my pets.

Dr’s Steve and Mel took the time to look into many treatment options to help my old cat, that has numerous problems. They have a genuine interest in getting the best possible results.

Debbie James

Let’s just say that my cat is a shocker. He doesn’t like anyone or anything so getting even routine treatment for him was always going to be difficult.

The staff at Eltham Vet are so patient with him I wouldn’t dream of taking him anywhere else. You guys are the best!

Donna Ewing

All the staff are welcoming and friendly. Gus has looked after our cat, Sam, with great care, putting him (and us) at ease.

He was very sensitive to how we were feeling when Sammy was unwell and ensured we were well informed and comfortable.

Why Do Vet Fees Seem So Expensive?

Because there is no government support for your pet’s health care, it might seem that you are paying more for your pet’s treatment. Human patients have Medicare, which pays most of the cost of our medical treatment. However, when you compare veterinary fees with other professional service fees, they are really not excessive.

It’s also important to remember that your veterinarian is not only your pet’s GP, but also their surgeon, radiologist, dermatologist, neurologist, oncologist, psychiatrist and pharmacist as well.
