To help make looking after your pet even easier you can order prescription repeats through our website. Please take a moment to review our prescription and refill policy, and use the form below to submit your request. You must be a current client of Eltham Veterinary Practice to request any prescriptions.
Eltham Veterinary Practice Prescription and Refill Policy:
Relates to the medicines that are prescribed and supplied to your pet, that are classified as: “A Prescription Animal Remedy” OR “Prescription Only Medicine”
This means that only a registered veterinary surgeon can supply them to “animals under their care.” Professional diagnosis and monitoring is required in every case.
It is legislated that a vet must examine your pet at least every six months to continue supplying their medications. More complicated conditions may require more frequently re-examination and/or blood tests to ensure your animal’s medical needs have not changed.
How do you get your pet’s prescription refilled?
As long as your pet is not due for a re-examination and/or blood tests, all you need to do is to let us know you need more medication. You can either phone the practice on (03) 9439 8650 or request a refill by completing this form.
We require 1 working days notice to prepare a prescription, this allows the Veterinarian time to authorise the prescription, and ensure stock is available so as to avoid disappointment. (Special orders or compounded meds can take 5-7 working days to get in.)
